NBSE

Langsa Hill School adheres to the curriculum established by the Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE). All subjects, courses, activities, programs, and extra-curriculars are diligently followed and conducted at the school, ensuring a well-rounded and comprehensive educational experience for all students.

Nursery and Kindergarten

Langsa Hill School places great emphasis on the education of lower classes, focusing both qualitatively and quantitatively on nurturing young minds. Embracing the philosophy that “Young and fresh students have small hands that hold big ideas and hearts full of wonder,” the school is dedicated to fostering the development of its youngest learners.

One example of these efforts is making the first day of school a memorable experience. The school organizes special celebrations, where new students are welcomed with a party filled with age-appropriate toys and games. These fun sessions not only engage the children but also help them feel comfortable and excited about their new environment. Teachers warmly receive the students from their parents, ensuring a smooth and reassuring start to the day.

Langsa Hill School continually strives to create an environment where young students can thrive, encouraging their curiosity and creativity from the very beginning of their educational journey.

Nagaland Heritage Studies

Langsa Hill School offers a unique subject called Nagaland Heritage Studies. This course educates students about the rich history, culture, and customs of the Naga people, including the Konyak language. It also revives many forgotten tales, stories, and poems of the Nagas, ensuring that the younger generation remains connected to their heritage.

Financial Literacy and Book-Keeping

Langsa Hill School is dedicated to providing a comprehensive education that prepares students for real-world challenges. For students in classes 9 to 10, the school offers specialized subjects in Financial Literacy and Book-Keeping. These courses are designed to equip students with essential skills in managing personal finances, understanding economic principles, and maintaining accurate financial records.

Through the Financial Literacy program, students learn about budgeting, saving, investing, and responsible spending. This course aims to foster an understanding of financial concepts that are crucial for making informed decisions in their personal and professional lives.

The Book-Keeping subject focuses on the fundamentals of recording and managing financial transactions. Students gain hands-on experience with accounting practices, which include maintaining ledgers, preparing financial statements, and understanding the financial health of a business.

In addition to classroom instruction, the School incorporates practical, field-based education to reinforce these subjects. This experiential learning approach ensures that students not only grasp theoretical knowledge but also apply it in real-life scenarios, preparing them for future academic pursuits and careers in finance and business.
